I’ve sat in that kind of room for most of my working life. Eight people. A screen. Coffee nobody finishes. Somebody says: client complaints are up 4 points since June. Ten minutes later it has a name, an owner, and a next step by Friday. Nobody in that room has ever said: “Something feels a bit off, let’s carry on and see how it goes.” They’d laugh him out of the building. Now. Same man. 6:40 in the evening. Car in the driveway, engine off, and he’s not going in yet. Something isn’t right...
